Calendar of Events


Spring: March - May

  • The Annual General Meeting for Lot Owners is held in April, notice is posted a month prior online. To be notified electronically and be added to the mailing list please send a request to annual-meet@mpcemetery.ca
  • Please remove all winter Wreaths by March 30th.
  • The month of April is dedicated to ‘Spring Clean-up’
  • Order forms for Memory Gardens and Flower Beds will be mailed
  • Memorial Garden and Flower Bed Orders are due by the 15th of May
  • The second Sunday in May is Mother’s Day
  • The Cemetery Office is closed on Good Friday and on Victoria Day (Monday)

Summer: June - September

  • The second Sunday in June is dedicated to Veteran’s Decoration Day
  • The third Sunday in June is Father’s Day.
  • The staff will commence the planting of Flower beds ordered in May
  • The Cemetery Office is closed on:
    • Canada Day (July 1st)
    • Civic Holiday (first Monday in August)
    • Labour Day (first Monday in September)

Fall: October - December

  • October 15th marks the start of ‘Fall Clean-up’
  • Wreath order forms will be mailed out
  • The Cemetery office will be closed on Thanksgiving Monday
  • All wreaths on tripods can be placed on November 1st
  • November 11 marks Remembrance Day
  • The Cemetery Office will be closed on December 25th and December 26th for Christmas and Boxing Day

Winter: January - February

  • The Cemetery office will be closed January 1st
  • Please be aware of Winter Hazards, icy roads etc. when visiting the Cemeteries
  • The Cemetery Office will be closed on the 3rd Monday in February for Family Day
