What is a Direct Burial?

At the time of need our Transfer Service will transfer your loved from the place of death and directly into our care at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Our Service Consultants will register the death and complete all the necessary paperwork. We offer a wide range of caskets to select from. No pallbearers are necessary as we will transfer your loved one's casket directly to the gravesite at Mount Pleasant or Oakland Cemeteries. Graveside services may be limited to only family members or may be open to all. A large tent will be provided at no additional cost. Direct burial is the most affordable burial alternative.
