Obituary of Lorie Lynn Hopkins

Lorie Lynn Hopkins, born on January 23, 1972, in Brantford, ON, Canada, passed away on November 17, 2024, in Woodstock, ON, Canada. Lorie had a vibrant spirit and a passion for people that touched everyone around her. Predeceased by her Mother Joyce Schmuir (Stanley). Loving Mother of Emery Hopkins. Daughter of Philip Stanley and Stepmother Jill Stanley. Younger Sister to Jennifer Stanley and Aunt to Cory and Kendra Stanley. Past Wife of Trevor Hopkins. In her professional life, she excelled in medical sales, where her dedication and warmth made her a valued colleague and friend. Lorie was an artist at heart; she loved to paint and draw, often finding inspiration in the world around her. In her downtime, she cherished reading and had a particular fondness for crime thrillers. Lorie had a knack for turning life’s imperfections into something beautiful. Whether it was a home project she was proud to show off, or a thoughtful gift to someone having a down day. She always found ways to make people feel special. She would always invite people into her home, especially friends in need during the holidays. She was a sharp, intelligent woman with an uncanny ability to understand people—a trait that made her incredibly successful her career and life. But beyond her professional talents, Lorie cared deeply for her family and friends. A lover of nature, Lorie found her happiest moments at the beach, by the pool or in the mountains, where she could unwind with a good book. Although she didn't follow sports, she delighted in cheering on her friends' children during their games, her support was always enthusiastic and heartfelt (with an applause that set off decibel meters) Lorie will be remembered for her creativity, her love for her family, and her unyielding zest for life. She leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of all who knew her. Online condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.mpcemetery.ca
