Obituary of Birte Ingeborg Brandt

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Birte Ingeborg Brandt in London, Ontario at the age of 93. Predeceased by her husband Gunnar (1993), survived by son Bryan (Brenda), son Larry (Cathy), and grandchildren, Cayleen (David), John (Sarah), Evan (Kirsten), Kirsten (Chris), Kyle (Melissa), and four great-grandchildren. Birte was born in 1931 in Copenhagen, Denmark, as the second youngest of 7 siblings. She emigrated to Canada with husband Gunnar in 1956 landing in Montreal, coming to London in 1960 where they raised a family and in the late seventies, opened a business designing and building automated machinery. Cremation has taken place, and as per Birte's wishes, there will be no visitation or service; however, a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the charity of your choosing, or to any of the following: My Sister's Place (London), CNIB, DeafBlind Ontario Services, Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
