George was VP at Lorne Ave. when I was there. I also worked with him on Federtion executive. He was always calm and kept things light. It was a pleasure to be able to have talked to him at an RTO supper at Porcino's a couple months ago. George had a good life and leaves many people with fond memories. Rest easy George!

George Keats was the satellite leader at Broughdale PS in 1971-72 when I taught there. Simply a wonderful man who loved teaching and was a kind, empathetic educator with both the students and staff. George went on the become a Vice-Principal in London and was a guest speaker for a summer class of teachers of which I was the instructor. George left an extremely positive impression on the students, all of whom were high school teachers striving to upgrade their qualifications. George possessed a sense of humour second to none and there was no problem, real or perceived, with which he could not deal—usually with a chuckle or two. I’m sorry to learn of the passing of George, a man I admired and respected and frankly, I just liked George tremendously. To Ruth and the family of George, I offer my most sincere condolences on the passing of a fine man.

I worked with George in the office at Lorne Ave PS (1980's). He was a kind, good man who enjoyed a laugh. I am so sorry for your loss.
