Obituary of Fabian Savarie

SAVARIE, Fabian – Passed away peacefully at the age of 56, surrounded by the love and support of his family on Thursday May 30^th, 2019 at University Hospital in London, Ontario.

Fabian was born on April 20^th,1963 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario to loving parents Annette and Leonel Savarie.  Fabian was predeceased by his parents and his oldest brother Leonard.  He leaves behind his wife, Arlene, beloved son, Todd, Jon and Chad, daughter Chantal, 8 grandchildren, brothers, Leonard, Claude, Mike and Danny, sisters Cora, Elsie, Diane and Jackie, nieces and nephews, his four legged companion, Bella an many cherished friends.

Fabian had a real love for life.  He enjoyed golf, baseball, bargain-hunting, collecting, fishing and playing games with his sons.  He was a kind-hearted man who had a great sense of humour and loved playing practical jokes.  He took pleasure in attending his great-niece Josee’s soccer games, and great nephew Kalob’s hockey games.  He adored spending time with his dog Bella, and she was always by his side.

Special thanks to Dr. Spicer, Dr. Koivu and their Palliative Care Staff at University Hospital who looked after Fabian and his family during his end-of-life journey.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday June 7, 2019 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Chapel, 303 Riverside Drive, London, Ontario.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Program of St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation may be made at www.sjhcfoundation.org/donate/once. Or to www.salthaven.org .  Flowers may be sent to Mount Pleasant Cemetery (London) Inc. by 11:00am, Friday June 7, 2019.
