Obituary of Ted Swinnen
SWINNEN, Frank “Ted” – in his 60th year passed away suddenly on Sunday June 9, 2019 at Victoria Hospital in London, with his wife Dianna by his side. He is survived by his wife Dianna Garber 0f 38 years, together for 39 years, his sister Carol Swinnen and family and aunt Josepha DiRado of California. He was a former student at both U.W.O. and Fanshawe College. Most recently he was employed at Elgie Bus Lines where he loved his job as a school bus driver. He was highly thought of at Elgie for his reliable, dependable and friendly personality. He will be sadly missed by all staff and bus drivers as well as all the students he drove daily from Tweedsmuir Public School and Clarke Road Secondary. (He was liked by all who met him and loved by many). Thanks to all the hospital staff and doctors at L.H.S.C., the London Regional Cancer Program and the Victoria Health Medical Centres for all they did to help Ted. Special thanks to friend Maggie for her endless help getting Ted to his appointments and staying with me at the hospital, as well as Helen, the hospital social worker who also supported me at the hospital. (to the end). Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Thursday June 27, 2019, 10:45am at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Chapel, 303 Riverside Drive, London.
