.....from Madeline Macaulay I met Jean in 2015 when I was asked to join a small afternoon Euchre group...there were 5 of us so I filled in when needed but eventually became the fourth. We met once a month at one of our homes for wine, treats an a relaxing game of Euchre which included lots of laughs. Jean had such a lovely home...it was a pleasure to visit her. She always had some interesting music playing in the background. She and I shared a love of all things Scottish. Another big love of hers was her Granddaughter, the dancer. She was so proud of her. It was a shock to hear of her passing...I miss her on card days a lot! I would like to thank her Family for sending me that lovely letter about Jean just before Christmas 2022...it meant a lot.

So sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. I met Jean Thanksgiving of 1997. Went up to visit Carol (so she could see her dog Zeus) came up from Raleigh. Jean made me feel welcome in her home. She was so nice. I went up again to visit Christmas of same year and again Jean was so nice. We exchanged birthday and Christmas cards over the years. Always writing nice notes. She probably couldn’t read my. Bad handwriting on my part. I have good memories of her. Glen

So sorry to hear of Jean's passing. I met her when I delivered the Hamilton Spectator to her home in the late 80s. She was a warm and lovely lady with a big heart and a young spirit. We shared many laughs over the years. She was a wonderful friend. We always called each other on our birthdays every year without fail. Dear Jean rest in peace, you will always have a special place in my heart. Sincere condolences to Kerry and Carol and their families. Love and light, Caroline Staton (Wood)
