Obituary of Jacoba Adriana Spriel

SPRIEL, Jacoba (Coby) Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital's Palliative Care Unit on Friday April 22, 2022 in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her Husband Peter Spriel (2009) Survived by Sisters-in-law An de Reus Plug [Netherlands], Corrie (Ray) Tuinhof, Engeline, Jannie Witteveen, Willie Mason, Jane Smeltz and Brother-in-law Harry. She will be deeply missed by her children Nancy (Bert) de Wit, Patsy, Peter (Darla), Eric (Darlene), Cheryl, Tim (Sara) as well as her nieces and nephews in Canada and The Netherlands. Coby was a loving and very proud Grandmother to 13 Grandchildren and Great Grandmother to 7 Great Grandchildren. In her earlier years Coby enjoyed singing in her church choir as well as teaching Sunday school where she made many wonderful friendships. Coby and Peter worked very hard together to then be able to enjoy many memorable retirement years in Florida. Coby’s positive outlook and zest for life allowed her to enjoy playing Tennis, Golf, Pickleball as well as singing and acting at the annual Follies. Amazingly enough still riding her bicycle up until her 85th year! Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery (London), 303 Riverside Drive, London on Friday, June 3rd, 2022 at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow until 4 p.m. in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Reception Centre.
