Obituary of Darrell Joseph Decoste

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darrell Joseph DeCoste on April 4, 2023, at Toronto General Hospital at the age of 66. Loving husband of Laurie, father to his three girls Erin (Dustin Wilson), Leslee (Chris Hindmarsh) and Robyn (Michael Burgess). Proud Papa of Claire, Evan, and Margo. Beloved by his many siblings; Mary Mitchell (George), Gerald (Donna), Margaret Latour (John), Daniel, Ronald (Brenda), Raymond (Tess), and Darlene (Brian). Brother-in-law to Kerri Ronson (Jerry Wybo). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his parents Daniel and Alma DeCoste of Glace Bay. Son-in-law to Cordell (d. 2020) and Donna Hull of Grand Bend. Darrell was a proud Cape Bretoner and avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping, and was often in his shop fixing one of his old cars. Always ready to lend a hand, Darrell was known for his ability to fix just about anything and will be missed by his many friends. Darrell worked for the City of London for many years as a heavy equipment operator and after retiring, he moved up to his second home in Miller Lake. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Toronto General Hospital Transplant team and Lion’s Head Hospital. Family & friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Highland Country Club, 1922 Highland Hts., London, ON N6C 2T4.
