Obituary of Barry Garnet Bower

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of “CAPTAIN” Barry Bower on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Wendy (nee Brush) for 51 years. Loving father to Kevin (Jenn). Papa adored his two grandchildren: Shelden and Kolby. Dear brother to Cheryl McCutcheon. Barry was predeceased by his parents James and Margery (Heywood). Remembered by his father-in-law Garnet Brush (Jean). Barry will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, a loving extended family, neighbours and friends. Barry was always willing to lend a helping hand and always had a story to tell. Papa loved to take his grandkids to the many parks to play. Captain loved attending the ball games at Slo-Pitch City over the years where he made many wonderful friends. A special thank you to the medical staff in the Emergency and Neurology Departments for their dedication and their kindness. Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Byron Legion Branch 533, 1276 Commissioners Rd. W. London, on Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
