Obituary of Ann Evans

Ann lived her life with style and joy, whether it was her trademark deep pink lipstick and glasses, a table setting, a pretty room or picnics for polo. After a career in fashion, she joined Centennial College where she taught, co-ordinated and developed programs in fashion, cosmetics and home furnishings. Her second career was with The Art Shoppe Toronto helping clients create residential interiors. Not a natural athlete, her valiant efforts at equestrianship, sailing, squash and golf were enthusiastic, but un-stellar. Rather she excelled at creative or intellectual pursuits such as organizing special events at her club, reading, travelling, enjoying opera and classical music, studying art history and learning new things always. Spending time with close friends brought her happiness -- Ali, Paul, Bonnie, John, LeeAnn, Seymour, Bill, Julie, Heather, the Thibodeau family, Kate, Kendall, Carol, Susan, Jill, Pauline, David, Georgina, Peter, Judy, Tony, Robert, Deb et al. A special friend through the years has been John Goldie. A challenging and amusing companion was her cat, Richard Parker. She is survived by her former husband Timothy King Evans, cousins Roderick Willis (Faye), Cameron Willis (Dale), Baxter Willis (Sue), Janis Gott and many second, third and fourth cousins in Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba, Arizona, Alaska, California, and Colombia SA. Her special family of “Angels" are Maria Lourdes and Dennis Martinez and Jenny and Ricky Casanova whose kindness to "Mother Angel" exceeds all bounds. There will be no funeral service. Cremation has occurred with a private interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery (London) Inc., London, ON. "With the exception of love, friendship, and the beauty of art, I don't see much else that can nurture human life."
