Obituary of Brigitte Hildegard Smith

At the age of 82, Brigitte peacefully and sadly passed away in her home December 14, 2023 in London, Ontario. She was born September 29, 1941 in Germany. Brigitte was predeceased by her husband Roland Smith; son Roland Jr.; daughters Rolanda and Gail; granddaughter Lisa; as well as her parents Erich and Anna Wetzke and sisters Renate and Rosemarie. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine & Brad Rice; and her sister and brother-in-law, Christa & Ted Doucet. Loved by grandchildren and their partners: Michael Rice, Philip Martin & Stephanie Giesbrecht, Andrew Rice & Wynter Bressette and Kelsie & Cody Johnstone; and her great-grandchildren: Landyn, Bradley, Millie, Mackenzi, Noah, Alia, Briar, Charlie-Lynn, Aydin, Raylynn, Kiera, Rainah, Athena, Latrow and Aryanna; and all her nieces & nephews. Brigitte loved her family, friends, cats and German music. She enjoyed going to play darts on Friday nights and going to the Legion on Saturdays for the meat draws they would have. Brigitte also enjoyed playing Monday night TV bingo. She will be sorely missed by all that loved her so. A small memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Chapel & Reception Centre, 303 Riverside Drive, London, Ontario at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception and an interment.
