I met Barry nearly 10 years ago. We had many talks. Barry was a gentle soul with a big heart. I worked for Barry and Linda at their house as they hired me to fix things throughout. Barry helped many people including myself. When I learned of Barry's passing I couldn't believe it, I didn't want to believe it. One thing I know for sure...Bill W. Would have been very proud of Bear, I know I am. Thank you Barry. My God hold you close. Blair W.

I remember Bear as we grew up in the same neighborhood . I reconnected with him at the pool hall at Fleetway taking the residents from Turning Point to shoot a little pool. Bear who also was a long time recovery member was a great influence on the boys and also had a great sense of humor.He usually was there with his recovery buddy Ronnie. You will be missed. RIP Big Guy.

Barry (the Bear) and I spent a lot of time bowling at Huron Bowl, learning to scuba dive in Sarnia and celebrating at the Latin Quarter. He was always "larger than life". Haven't seen him in ages but will never forget him. Rest in peace my friend! SYOTOS. Gord McFarlane

My condolences on the loss of Barry or as those who worked with him affectionally called him Bear.. He was a great partner to work with, so many great stories filled with laughter when you shared a shift with Bear.. He always had an ear if you needed to chat inside or outside of work.. may he rest in peace

My condolences to family and friends of Bear. We worked many shifts together and there was never a dull moment. Bear had a huge personality and it was matched only by his huge and kind heart. Rest in peace Bear. You will be missed.
