Robert Williamson

Obituary of Robert Tracy Williamson

In loving memory of Robert Tracy Williamson, a loving partner, a caring father, a proud new grandfather and a great brother. On Sunday, March 17,2024, after a long and brave battle with cancer, Rob passed away peacefully surrounded by his devoted partner, his children and siblings in the Palliative care unit in Victoria Hospital, London. He was just 63 years old. Robert was predeceased by his sister Terri and father Donald Lloyd. He is survived by his beloved partner Jo-Anne Van Rooyen and his children; Cody (Emily Kirk), Jillian Kylie (Mike Kuenzlen) and their recently arrived son Emmett, and Zach (Mackenzie McKim) and Becky the mother of his children. He was a proud member of the Plumber and Fitters Union, local 527 for over 40 years. Rob was the 5th child of 6 children, 4 boys and 2 girls; Tom (Kathy Anderson), Ted, Tim (Mary), Terri (Dave Rubenhagen), Robert Tracy (Jo-Anne Van Rooyen) and Trudi (David Connor) (did you notice a pattern in names) and of course none of this was possible without their mother Mary Ellen. He spent many happy hours fishing with his brothers and father while growing up and again later as an adult; playing darts and listening to classic Rock with his extensive LP collection were his other passions. We wish to sincerely thank the wonderful Doctors, Nurses and the staff in the Palliative Care Unit who provided compassionate care of Rob during his stay. Rob will be honoured with an “Open House” format Celebration of Life at the Boler Mountain Reception Hall, 689 Griffith Street London, 519-657-8822, Saturday, April 6 from 2:00 -6:00 p.m. All family, friends and colleagues are welcome to enjoy some personal camaraderie and share fond memories of Robert. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Rob are asked to consider the London Health Sciences Foundation – Cancer Program.
