Dear Lorna and Family, I had the opportunity to get to know Mike over a 20 year span at Riverbend Golf Community. I thoroughly enjoyed playing golf with him over the years and for the laughs that we shared. More often than not, I had to search for a toonie to pay my off my golf bet with him. I enjoyed the stories, fun jokes and his positive view on life. I offer my sincerest condolences to Lorna and family on the loss of a true gentleman. Brian Galea

Lorna and Family, saddened to learn of Mike's passing and I extend condolences to the entire Family on your loss. Mike was a valued member of our Saturday golf group and will be remembered as a friend and one who enjoyed his golf and our after golf get togethers. A most difficult time for the entire Family but take comfort from the good times shared with Mike and as Family. . .

To the Yurchuk & Getliffe family - my deepest condolences on the loss of Mike. He was a dynamo of spirit and energy, and despite the battles he faced at the end of his life, it brings a smile to my face that nothing seemed out of reach for him. His vigor and lust for life was an admirable trait of his, and I am grateful for having gotten to know him for the years I did. I hope you can reflect on his best days and the impact he had on the many people he met through his life. He was a special guy who will be missed by all. - Jonathan Somerville

My fondest memory of Mike was the Halloween a mute Witch showed up at our door but was able to communicate he wanted a scotch! Think of him every Halloween. Also the kindness of your parents to help me when I left Riverbend. Just the best. Rest in peace Mike and love to all xxoo
