I worked with Denise for about 4 years on and off as she would leave our hospital and travel somewhere else and come back home in Conyers Gorgia. She was an exemplary nurse, her passion for nursing made her an exceptional teacher with new Operating Room nurses. She will be sadly missed. Condolences to her family.

Denise was my friend. Period. We had ups and downs, like all real relationships. We rode motorcycles together and once she stapled my butt (it really hurt, but it’s still a funny memory). I miss her. I don’t have many real friends. I wish we would have kept in touch better when she left Georgia, but we hooked up for Thai food MOST times when she came back. Once, I offered to take her to this Greek restaurant for her birthday. We got drunk and they let us break plates and shout “OPA”. After dinner she told me it actually WASNT her birthday. I have no idea why I thought it was. But damn we had a good time. That’s the kind of friend she was. I’m sorry for your (and MY) loss of her... Liz

I had the pleasure of working with Denise at Rockdale hospital for many years. She was a dedicated nurse and extremely good at what she did in the operating room. I treasure our friendship and the memories we made working together. May she Rest In Peace.

I met D back in 2008 at Rockdale medical center in Ga. Her sense of humor and take no crap attitude made us friends right off the bat. We both ended up going other places but kept in touch often. She never led on that she was even sick much less anything else because she just wanted to live life to the fullest. I’ll miss you D!!! Don’t scare anyone up there, save some for me.
