Obituary of Jarrod Bruce Milmine

MILMINE, Jarrod B. - 4/6/75 - 7/8/24 49 years - London, ON In the early morning of Monday, July 8, Jarrod peacefully passed away in his sleep after a 5 year long courageous battle with cancer. Diagnosed in 2019 with stage 4 lung cancer, his determination and dedication to himself, his friends and family with sheer strength and stubbornness, provided him the ability to laugh in the face of cancer and give it the big middle finger until his body couldn’t sustain anymore. Self proclaimed as a loveable asshole, Jarrod’s quick witt and saucy comebacks were his way of showing his closest friends and family how much he cared. He loved deeply and was always the first to lend a helping hand to his family, friends and neighbours. He loved being there for others and offering his support and advice sometimes even when they didn’t ask, but never backed down to a friend in need. Having a strong work ethic, instilled in him by his Dad, Allan at a young age, and the love for his field of stone fabrication he enjoyed showcasing his creativity and ability to manipulate stone to create beautiful, unique pieces. A special place in his heart was his Sloan Stone Design family, who he cherished and was truly grateful for their support throughout his battle, always having his back and giving him the grace and dignity to stand tall and rest in peace. Survived by his wife of 23 years, Rochelle (Bezaire), children Justin (17), Alexis (14), Step-Father Allan McCutcheon, predeceased by his mother Judy McCutcheon (d.2017), he leaves behind his siblings, Clinton Milmine (Kristin), Jason Milmine, Bill McCutcheon (Jackie), Cheryl McCutcheon, Cayleigh Shoniker (Trevor), father Wm Bruce Milmine (Liliana) and nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the dedicated team of Dr’s & nurses of London Regional Cancer Centre who cared for Jarrod over the years, whom never gave up on him and fought by his side. Also the kind, compassionate palliative staff of LHSC who were a true support through their tenderness left the family feeling at peace by his side. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life / open house is scheduled for Aug 18th in Tavistock to come together with friends and family alike to share with each other love and fond memories.
