I am not sure this is the same Peter Krickmire. If it is, I am so sorry. But I wonder., when I was growing up in Rochester, N.Y., the Peter Krickmire I knew taught me how to serve Mass as an altar boy. (my 4th grade). He also bequeathed me his paper route (Dewey Avenue, Lexington Ave., cross streets), which I served until I was a junior at Aquinas Institute. This would have been 1960 - 1965. So, is it the same Peter Krickmire? Thanks, Paul Ochs

Hello from Australia. I was watching an art film just now and remembered my times with Peter as a pupil of his at Laurie Secondary and then as a projectionist at UWO working for Peter. Wanted to make contact but found my way to here. So Sad. Peter told me I was a horrible speller in high school and nothing has changed but I and my son have developed a strong appreciation of cinema. Peter and a few kids visited us in Australia in the 80s. He was a caring soft spoken individual who helped me be a better person.

Growing up with Peter was an adventure for me. I was the youngest of the 4, and he was the oldest. He introduced me to Julia Childs, and I remember fondly the memories of sitting watching her on the TV at Home. I still love cooking programs. As he moved away to Canada, he kept in touch, and he would visit my little family in the Bristol Hills. He took our oldest daughter under his wing and took her on a few trips. And, he was able to spend some time with our son, but, sadly, was not able to get to know our youngest.
I am glad that he is at peace and was with people who cared for and loved him. It brings me comfort.
Thank You to all that have posted memories here.

I first met Peter in the 1970's. I was about 12 years old. He worked with my dad for a while and became a friend of the family. He would join us for supper on special occasions and most Sundays. He would bring movies to be shown on our living room wall.
Over the years we would go camping, hiking and canoeing together. He introduced photography, science fiction books and the Rolling Stone magazine to us.
In the 1980's my wife and I rented the main floor of his house for about a year. A few years after we moved we went back for a visit and yes there was canoe where our couch use to be.
I lost contact with him in the last 15 years but the memories of our adventures will remain.
He was a positive influence on our family and it is sad he is gone.

Peter brought a lot of fun and support to the Taylor Family in Alexandria, Virginia.
When he came for visits which lasted for several weeks at a time, even the neighbors were excited. Peter charmed both the kids and mothers with his stories, quirky ideas and piquant observations. He often gathered the kids to go fishing, hiking and exploring. He was always trying to organize the chaos that defines a group of 4-12 year olds. Sometimes he succeeded.
He cooked, baked, baby-sat, ran errands, planted an herb garden, and never said no to any request. He introduced us to Fourth Lake in the Adirondacks where we spent a wonderful week.
He took great pains to get 69 1/2 Wilson in shape when we came to see him in London. He was proud of his adopted country and would often give us gifts with the Canadian flag. He was tickled that Noah loved the other Canadian national anthem - the Hockey song.
Our lives are better for having known him. We missed him when his visits to Alexandria stopped.

Dear Family and Friends of Peter,
It is with a heavy heart that we note Peter’s passing. I (Tom) met him in Kindergarten in Rochester NY and we close friends through High School (Aquinas Institute) where my future wife Theresa also befriended him. We saw each other occasionally over the years and stayed in touch, especially once email became available. Peter was a “techno-phile “ of the first order and was especially fond of recording devices, audio or video. Watching his slideshow of his Australian trip was especially relaxing. He holds a special place in our memories and will be missed. God rest his soul. Thank you to his kind friends who watched after him in his declining years.
