Dear Murray,
I was saddened by Carol's death. I have fond memories of her camaraderie the year she was on staff at Northridge. Although we only taught one year together, I valued that connection, and always enjoyed reminiscing with her when we met, throughout our teaching careers. My sincere condolences to you, your sons and their families.

It sure was a shock to us to hear of Carol’s death. It seems just the other day we talked to Carol at Angelos behind the pastry counter. Carol brought her gardening skills to the cookie area. Blessings to you and family and our loving thoughts are with you all. John and Linda Langford.

I met Carol only a handful of times. I taught for approximately 5 or 6 years with her husband, Murray. However, every single time I was at a staff party at their house, Carol showed me around her beautiful backyard gardens. I loved to garden and Carol regaled me with her knowledge of different plant species and which worked best; sun, shade, wet and dry. I appreciated how thoughtful and genuinely caring she was with a mere acquaintance. To Murray and family; my deepest condolences to all of you. You father Murray was always such a positive role model for the young teacher I once was.
Take care,
Chris Constantine

We are so sorry for your Loss of a great Lady inside and out. Carol always had such a huge smile when she was with Clarke. That smile showed the love and how proud she was of her entire family. She was always there for Amber when needed. It might of been advice on being a new mother, sewing curtains or just talking. She will be greatly missed by all but her smile will be engraved in your hearts forever. Love and Blessings, Jeff and Debbie Dean

Carol is safe and sound. No more pain, no more tears, just infinite comfort and love, and eternal life where no harm can come to her. Yet oh how we miss her, ache to see her smile, hear her voice, her laughter. “Jesus wept” the Bible says, when he saw how people grieved the death of his friend. One more promise then, for we who remain, “Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Carol lives on in heaven above, and in our hearts and memories here below. Rest in peace, dearest sister.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of such a beautiful person. Carol and Murray became part of our family and we are the richer for it. I have such a vivid memory of Carol deadheading my gardens the day we put up the tent for Amy and Eric's wedding. My gardens never looked better! Our love and thoughts to all of you.

My heart goes out to the entire Neilans family. Carol was always so kind and warm to all of Eric's friends.
My favorite memory will always be Carol bringing down a huge plate of cheese and crackers for Eric and I while we played pool in the basement. Eric saw the snack platter and immediately yelled "Mom!! Don't give him the good cheese!!?" ..
But Carol always gave me the good cheese..
Sending my love to you all,
Neil

To Uncle Murray, Craig, Eric, Travis and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Our hearts and prayers are with you as we mourn. I am so thankful that on a visit down east many years ago Aunt Carol decided to have Susy and I stay overnight for a visit to be able to get to know each other a little better. I really enjoyed getting to visit and go to one of the Gardens in London together. She really made us feel special. It was also such a treat to get to introduce her to my own family on a trip taken out west a few years ago. May God bring you all peace and hope in this time and in the days ahead. Lord willing we will see each other again.
Love your cousin and niece,
Holly (Hagen), Garrett, Zoe, Brooke, and Elora Gillespie

I’ll never forget when Carol took Olivia for a walk and got lost. Olivia was maybe a month old. We had only been in our home for 6 months so she wasn’t familiar with our neighbourhood. We had a good laugh!

Morley and I were so fortunate to make a cross Canada trip in 2019 to visit Carol and Murray and I met their sons and their families. Everyone was very welcoming and we enjoyed the visit immensely. I found Carol to be incredibly intelligent and well spoken. She was very kind to me and I enjoyed her dry sense of humour. I found we liked similar things - costume dramas, Maggie Smith and Judi Dench. Escape to the Country and a good comfy chair, her beautiful garden (I have included some pictures that I took during our visit) and love of family. I found her to fiercely protective of her men and very proud of them as well. After our trip I could see that Morley and Carol had gotten closer by listening to their phone calls. It is a blessing for us to known and loved her.
Happy trails Carol, we will miss you in our world. ~ Brenda
