Obituary of Carol Ann Neilans

Carol Ann Neilans Aug 2nd, 1948 - Jan 2nd, 2021 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Carol Ann Neilans after a brief battle with leukemia. Carol is survived by her loving husband Murray, of 53 years. The two of them shared many wonderful adventures together from Portugal to San Antonio, San Francisco to Halifax. And a lifetime of stories in between. She was a devoted mother to her three sons, Craig (Jen) Eric (Amy) and Travis (Amber). Carol was an adoring Grandma to her six grandchildren; Olivia, Spencer, Sadie, Cliff, Dylan and Clarke. Strong sister to Gwen (Horst) Hagen and Morley “Andy” (Brenda) Clinton. A dedicated teacher with the Thames Valley School Board for 22 years she enjoyed a second career in Pastries at Angelos. Carol was an avid gardener and especially proud of her gourds. A voracious reader, she loved her home and refused to move. She could spend an entire day on the deck reading and admiring her beautiful yard work. She loved hosting many events in her yard, and we look forward to a Celebration of Life there when it is safe to gather again. The kindness, compassion and care received by the medical staff and PSWs on the Oncology floor at Victoria Hospital LHSC made her final days as comfortable as possible. A private Family Service has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations to Leukemia/Lymphoma Society of Canada www.llscanada.org are appreciated. We would encourage anyone who feels they are able to consider donating blood www.blood.ca. Online condolences may be made at Mount Pleasant Cemetery (London) Inc. www.mpcemetery.ca
