I just came across this looking up some news, sad to hear about Bill. He was a great friend to my Dad Jim Steele over the years. I use to meet the guys for lunch at the Bavarian once a week while attending UWO and always enjoyed my chats with Bill, very funny and entertaining man. He lived a good and full life, served his country well. My condolences to all of his family and now he is back with Shirley, dancing and hosting parties again !

Bill coached Oakridge Optimist hockey and one year back in the early '70's I played on one of his teams along with his son Billy. I'll always remember his pre-game pep talks on the locker room chalk board. I thought Bill was a masterful coach at motivating the team as we went on to win many a game that year. Larry Mottram

Jackie, I am so sad to see that your dad passed away. I was looking forward to seeing the two of you at the Wing again sometime. Your dad always made me chuckle . He will definitely be missed.
