I just had a Wally's fastball Team picture from 1975, out on Sunday evening for a family BBQ here in Lambeth. Rick was his happy self in it and I was sharing with my sons n grandkids some of our accomplishments and great fun we shared. I was not aware of Rick's obit until I opened Saturdays LFP on my ipad.

Firstly, my condolences to the Boyle family; Rick was well liked by all who knew him and he will be sadly missed.
Most of my male friends got their hair cut at Rick's shop. It was the memorable stories, fellowship and banter which brought us back each month.
When I joined Sunningdale Golf Club, as a young golfer, it was in an era when you had to be a fellow member to sponsor a new incoming member; it was my pleasure to sponsor Rick and he went on to enjoy many rounds at the club.
Rick will be missed by all he knew--may he rest in peace.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Rick. I was one of a group of university students from Niagara Falls who went to Rick when he first started out as a barber in the mid 1960’s at the old Holiday Inn on King St. I stayed with him until the late 1990’s when he was moving his shop and somehow lost contact with him. He always made me feel welcome and we enjoyed many conversations about sports and other mutual interests. He was a great professional barber as well. My condolences to the Boyle family. Davis Daley

I was a customer and friend of Rick’s for over 40 years. We shared many stories and countless laughs. Rick, along with many other friends was very patient with me when I decided to try and learn to play golf. I especially looked forward to our annual get together at The Spark.
